INTRODUCTION TO BIBLICAL ESCHATOLOGY
ONE DAY INTENSIVE10am – 4:30pm | SATURDAY 27th JULY

ONE DAY INTENSIVE | 10am – 4pm Saturday 27 July
TEACHER | PHIL Mason
LOCATION | Tribe Byron Bay Ministry Centre
Unit 2/17 Tasman Way, Byron Bay
This short one-day school is a basic introduction to the topic of biblical eschatology. What is eschatology? Why is it important? What is speculative eschatology? Why are there so many different viewpoints? What can we be absolutely sure of concerning future events? What has God revealed about the ‘end times?’
In these four sessions Phil Mason will take us on a tour of the whole arena of end time teachings. This is an extremely important theme in the Bible and clearly there are significant things that God wants us to know about the things to come. A solid understanding of biblical eschatology is foundational to the formation of a clear biblical worldview. Without such an understanding our worldview will be incomplete.
Session 1|
INTRODUCTION TO ESCHATOLOGY
10 – 11:15AM
In this first session Phil will introduce the most important themes that God wants us to understand about the future. God has revealed so much to us about things to come and eschatological matters constitute a significant proportion of biblical revelation. In this lecture Phil will introduce the things that are important for us to understand in the formation of our biblical worldview and why it is vital that we understand in the flow of God’s master plan of redemption from creation to the end of the age.
Session 2|
THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
11:30 – 12:30PM
This lecture will introduce us to the revelation of the second coming of Jesus; the events surrounding His imminent return and all that God wants us to know about the significance of Christ’s return. We will also explore the teaching of the ‘rapture’ of the church and hopefully clear up any misconceptions that have emerged around this important topic.
Session 3 |
THE END OF THE AGE AND THE FINAL JUDGMENT
1:30 – 2:45PM
This lecture will explore the important biblical revelation of the final judgment and the end of the age. What does God want us to know about the end of the age? What does the Bible mean by the separation of the sheep and the goats? What does the Bible teach about heaven and hell?
Session 4 |
THE MILLENNIUM AND REVELATION CHAPTER 20
3 – 4:30PM
This lecture will explore the three different viewpoints on the millennium. What is the millennium? Is it a literal thousand-year period? Will Christ set up His throne in the city of Jerusalem? Is the Great White Throne judgment at the end of the millennium different from the Day of Judgment when Christ returns? This is a fascinating topic and Phil hopes to bring much greater clarity on this important subject.
